Thule VeloSwing

Description

The Thule VeloSwing is a swing-away towbar solution designed for selected large vans. It lets you use towbar-mounted bike racks or cargo accessories and still access the rear doors by swinging the towbar to the side—even with bikes loaded.

Installation requirements and what to expect

Because van rear layouts and electrics vary by model and year, we may follow up your booking to confirm the correct setup for your vehicle.

Rear bumper / rear trim

• If you select the Thule pre-cut bumper, this is typically the neatest option for fit and finish.

• If you don’t select a pre-cut bumper, the existing bumper will need trimming to allow correct clearance and operation.

• Where trimming is required, we’ll always aim for the smallest and neatest finish possible.

Electrics and wiring (important)

• Thule offer their own wiring loom, however it does not provide full functionality on the 13-pin setup.

• Towbars and vehicle-specific wiring are our specialism, so we supply a more advanced wiring kit designed to communicate properly with your vehicle and support additional functions (for example, parking sensor cut-off on some vans).

• We supply this upgraded kit for the same price as the Thule kit, so you get the best result without paying more.

Thule VeloSwing Pre-Cut Bumper (optional)

For the cleanest installation, Thule offer an optional pre-cut bumper designed for the VeloSwing.

Important: if you want the Thule bumper, you’ll need to select the correct bumper version at checkout:

• Bumper – With parking sensors (choose this if your van currently has rear parking sensors), or

• Bumper – Without parking sensors (choose this if your van does not have rear parking sensors).

If you’d like rear sensors added, we can fit aftermarket rear parking sensors. In that case, select:

• Bumper – Without parking sensors, then add Rear Parking Sensors as an additional product.
