1.Terms of Payment
1.1 All towbar bookings placed require a £100 non refundable booking fee . When ordering a towbar fitting service we will reserve the right to retain the £100 as a handling charge should the fitting appointment be missed or cancelled by yourself. If you decide to change the date of the booking within 24 hours of the appointment, we reserve the right to charge an additional £100 deposit. If you decide to change the type of towbar (fixed to detachable or vice versa) within 7 days of the appointment then a restock fee from our suppliers will be charged (between £35 and £65) The handling charge will also be imposed if your vehicle does not have a towing capacity. It is your responsibility to ensure this in advance of the fitting as a towbar can only be installed if your car has a towing capacity. You can find out here about checking your towing capacity.
If we are unable to supply and fit you a towbar due to unavailable stock or error on our part then your £100 shall be refunded in full.
1.2 The prices payable for the items that you order are set out on our website. If we discover any errors in the price of goods before we accept your order, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to resubmit your order at the correct price or cancel the order. Prices for towbars and wiring are guide prices only and subject to changes. Price to pay will be confirmed at time of booking.
1.3 Some vehicles require additional coding which has an additional fee, we will let you know at the time of booking.
1.4 Payment can be made by credit/debit card and the credit/ debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of placing your order, Invoices can also be paid via BACS, all monies required before removing goods off site.
1.5 Trade terms are 30 days net.
2.Availability
If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you except to ensure that you are not charged for that item.
3.Force Majeure
Notwithstanding anything herein contained we are not to be held liable for any delay or failure to carry out the order through circumstances beyond our control.
4.Mobile Fitting
4.1 Towbar fittings are ONLY undertaken in our workshop, this is down to multiple factors, nowadays a lot of a vehicle’s interior will need to be removed to wire up the TowBar properly, coding is required on a lot of vehicles and that cannot always be done remotely. The lifetime guarantee we offer requires the fitter to complete our full vehicle inspection before and afterwards and this is a live system that allows us to monitor vehicle progress and make sure the job is done to leading industry standards.
5.1 We offer a lifetime warranty on all TowBar fittings with vehicle specific wiring. Our lifetime warranty covers the vehicle for any manufacturing defects on TowBars or Vehicle specific wiring fitted by ourselves throughout the ownership of the original purchaser. If you believe there are any issues with your TowBar during your ownership, please contact MotaBars for us to do a full inspection and rectify any issues.
5.2 Some products we supply and fit come with 3 or 5 year warranties. These are clearly displayed with each product on our website if available. If during the time period you experience any issues or concerns with the product please contact MotaBars for us to do a full inspection and rectify any issues.
5.3 Any tampering or work carried out by third parties on the product supplied and fitted renders a warranty null and void.
5.4 Excludes modified cars and vehicle usage as Taxi, Private hire, Rental cars.
5.5 If a part we have fitted has an issue, then we can inspect this, if we cannot identify the issue, the parts will be sent back to the manufacturer for testing. If the fault is not due to manufacturer defect then this will not be covered under any guarantee.

6.3 These Conditions are made pursuant to and shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of English Courts shall have jurisdiction.
